CITY OF LONDON

The City of London has always been our home. Today we work with partners to support a shared charitable, civic, and cultural landscape.

Charitable

Working with other livery companies and the City of London Corporation we aim to support charitable organisations and initiatives across the City of London and beyond. A selection of current initiatives we engage with include:

  • Livery Education Network
  • Mansion House Scholarship Programme
  • Early Years Programme (a joint grants programme you can read more on here)
  • Leather Livery Group
  • Big Curry Lunch – ABF
  • Hackney Carriage Drivers
  • St Botolph’s
  • St Ethelburga’s
  • Livery Food Kitchen
Child plays with volunteer The National Literacy Trust deliver their 'First Words Together' programme in a nursery as part of the Early Years Programme

Civic

Alongside other livery companies our members vote in key governance positions within the City of London Corporation, including the Lord Mayor, as well as directly contribute via elected and ceremonial positions.

Cultural

One of our key roles as stewards in the City of London is to care for St Helen’s Place, the home of the Leathersellers since 1543.
