Our Leather education partnerships seek to work with institutions who share our long-term vision for the future of leather education in the UK, celebrating its use as a sustainable and versatile material and supporting students to reach their potential.
De Montfort University
The Leathersellers’ Foundation provides De Montfort University with a multi-purpose grant, enabling the provision of leather-related Design Awards; a summer school teaching leatherworking skills; and opportunities to connect with the leather industry. The Leathersellers’ Award is given to students across fashion, textiles, art, design and architecture subjects for products using leather. Read more
London College of Fashion
The Leathersellers’ Foundation supports the London College of Fashion with the development of leather-working skills by funding leather master-classes for students across a wide range of courses including footwear and accessories, industry visits, and Leathersellers’ Awards. The awards recognise Emerging Talent, a Designer of the Year and an Archive Award. Learn more
Royal College of Art
The Leathersellers’ Foundation currently provides funding for scholarships at the college for post graduate students focused on leather on the MA programme at the School of Design. Read more
